Gordon was born on Change Islands to Clayton and Pheobe LeDrew. After moving to Noggin Cove, he met and married the love of his life Trudy (Cuff) and made their life together in Gander. He was employed as Janitor at Hotel Gander for 16 years, and the school board for the next 25 years. His last employment before he retired was his favorite job working with the special needs children as a bus driver.
Gordon was predeceased by his parents, Clayton and Pheobe, brother Marshall and sister Vella, brothers in law Cyril and Craig, father and mother in law Watson and Audrey Cuff and sister in law Linda.
He is survived by his wife of 49 years Trudy, goddaughter Katie, brothers Charlie (Mildred), Harold (Dale), Raymond (Carrie), sisters Effie (Baxter), Violet (Barry), Lydia (Dave), Netta (Dean), Kathleen, Lorraine (Edward) and a large circle of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends.
Family will be accepting friends at Stacey’s Funeral Home, Gander on Saturday, May 30th from 2:00 P.M. – 4:00 P.M. and on Sunday, May 31st from 11:00 A.M. – 12:45 P.M. at the Salvation Army Church, Carmanville where the funeral will take place at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the Salvation Army Cemetery, South side, Carmanville.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Gordon’s memory may be made to a charity of one’s choice.
