Mackenzie “Mack”
May 18, 1997 – June 6, 2026
It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Mackenzie “Mack” Goodyear, affectionately known to many of his friends as “Bam Bam,” who left us on June 6, 2026, at the age of 29, surrounded by his family in Brampton, Ontario.
Mackenzie was born on May 18, 1997, and brought love, laughter, and a strong presence into the lives of those who knew him. He will be remembered for his spirit, his connections with family and friends, and the impact he had on those around him in his own unique way.
Mackenzie leaves behind his loving mother, Margaret (Rocky) Burt; his beloved son, Gabe; his sister, Samantha (Matthew) Waterman; his father, Robert Goodyear; and his cherished grandparents, Joan and Edgar. He is also survived by his aunts, Madonna (Dave), Liz (Corey), Judy, Alice (Leroy), and Nadine ; his uncles, Mike (Jill), and Rob; cousins: Catherine, Ryan, Jessica, Kenny, Miranda, Emma, Hannah, Tylor and Bianca, and dear friends who will miss him deeply.
Through organ donation, Mackenzie gave the gift of life, offering hope, healing, and a future to others. His legacy of generosity and compassion will continue to live on through those he helped.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved by his family, friends, and all who knew him.
The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the dedicated staff of the Intensive Care Unit at Brampton Civic Hospital for the compassionate care provided to Mackenzie and their family during this difficult time. A special thank you is extended to nurses Angel and Libby, whose kindness, support, and exceptional care brought comfort when it was needed most; to Dr. Trop for his professionalism and compassion; and to Beverly of the Gift of Life program for her guidance and support throughout Mackenzie’s organ donation journey.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Mackenzie’s memory may be made to the Canadian Mental Health Association in support of mental health awareness, education, and services.
Family will be accepting friends at the Pentecostal Church in Carmanville on Thursday, June 18, 2026 from 10AM to 12PM, from where the funeral service will take place following the visitation.
