Michael Alexander

May 8, 1971 - June 19, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Michael Alexander Easton announces his passing on June 19, 2026 at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Care Centre, Gander at the age of 55 years.

Michael was predeceased by his son Shane, his grandparents Richard and Mary Ellen “Nellie” Easton and Reuben and Millicent Feltham.

Left to mourn with cherished memories are his parents Lloyd & Shirley Easton, his brother Robert Easton, his son Alexander and a wide circle of relatives and friends.

Michael was born in Halifax and moved with his family to Gander in 1972. He spent his childhood and school years in Gander while spending lots of summer days at Glovertown. Glovertown held a special place in his heart and it is where he eventually settled. His many friends stayed in contact with him until the end. He often told us that these days in Glovertown where the happiest days of his life.

While Michael endured many daunting health issues over the years, he faced them all with an indomitable human spirit. His fortitude and courage stayed with him until the end.

The family extends its most sincere thanks and gratitude to Dr. Paulus, the nursing team and staff on the General Surgery Ward. Their extraordinary care and compassion will always be remembered.  

At Michael’s request cremation has taken place.

A celebration to honour Michael’s life will take place at a later date.
