Colin Marshall

January 11, 1952 - June 26, 2026

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Colin Marshall Goodyear announce his passing at the James Paton Memorial Regional Health Centre, Gander on Friday June 26, 2026 at the age of 74 years.

Colin is predeceased by his parents Beaton & Sarah Goodyear, parents-in-law Samuel & Ethel Parsons. Sister Olive Collins, sisters-in-law: Janet Jenkins, Jackie Goodyear, Margaret Mouland, and Audrey Abbott. Brothers-in-law: Norman Mullett, Maxwell Jenkins, Carman Mouland, Cyril Tulk, Robin Flynn, and Obadiah Collins. Nephew and nieces- Paul Collins, Tracy Goodyear, Angela Parsons, and Elizabeth Jenkins.

Left to mourn are his wife of 56 years Elizabeth Goodyear, daughters: Ursula (Robert) Parsons, Marcy (Gordie) Rowe, son Roy (Heather Coates). Grandchildren: Mitchell Rowe (Jessica Keefe), Patrick Rowe (Savana Calder), Rebecca Parsons (Nicholas Hicks), and Ryleigh Goodyear. Great-grandchildren: Thomas Rowe, Ewan Rowe-Calder. Brothers: Willie Goodyear, Rodney Goodyear (Lorna Shelley), Sisters: Kay Tulk, Marcy (Alvin) Tulk, Dianne (Marvin) Hodder, Della (Calvin) Burton. Brothers and sisters-in-law: Willis & Olive Parsons, Doug & Winnie Parsons, and Marion Mullett.,Naboth ( Brenda) Many Nieces and nephews as well as a large circle of extended family and TOO many friends to count.

He was well known and loved by so many. The jokes and laughter he brought to his family and friends will be surely missed. May your memories of him live on forever.

We extend our sincere and heartfelt gratitude to his sisters who stayed by his and moms’ side during the last couple of weeks.

Thank you for exceptional compassion, care, and comfort from the entire care team provided to dad during his short palliative stay at James Paton. Your kindness will never be forgotten.

Family will be receiving friends at Bethel Full Gospel Tabernacle, Carmanville on Tuesday June 30, 2026 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. from where the funeral service will take place on Wednesday July 1, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. officiated by Pastor Nathaniel Osmond with interment to follow at the Pentecostal Cemetery.

As expressions of sympathy in lieu of flowers donations in Colin’s memory may be given to the family.
