July 3, 1931 – July 1, 2026

We are deeply saddened to share the loss of Otto Wheaton who passed away on July 1, 2026 at Gander Long Term Care at the age of 94 years old.

Otto left behind beautiful memories that will forever remain in the hearts of the Wheaton Family and Friends.

Born July 3, 1931 in Frederickton to Enos and Louisa Wheaton, Otto was a gentle soul who filled lives with love and kindness. He was lucky enough to spend 71 years married to the love of his life Margaret Wheaton (nee-Hodder). Together they raised 10 children who blessed their lives with grandchildren, great-grandchildren and even great-great-grandchildren.

Otto spent many days and years fishing to provide for his family. He also loved to spend time at his cabin and have Sunday dinners with family.

Left to mourn with fond memories are his children; Wade, Clarence (Cheryl), Joan (Chuck), Betty (Jack), Terry (Brenda), Paul (Verna), Sylvia (Eugene), Shirley (Dave), Enos (Wavey) and daughter-in-law Linda.

Otto is predeceased by his loving wife Margaret, son Lindo and grandsons Michael and Nolan. As well, brothers and sisters; Harvey, Garland, Wesley, William, Cecil, Elsie, Irene, Anne and daughter-in-laws Muriel, Brenda and Cheryl.

In keeping with Otto’s wishes, cremation has taken place through the professional care of Stacey’s Funeral Home.

The Wheaton Family would like to send profound gratitude to Golden Years Estates and Dr. Byrne for their care and professionalism and to Gander Long Term Care and staff; your exceptional care and compassion never went unnoticed and we will forever be grateful for the kindness and empathy you’ve provided over the last 9 months.

A memorial service will take place at the United Church in Frederickton on July 6, 2026 at 1:00 P.M. Interment will follow at the New United Cemetery, Frederickton.
