Daphne Margaret Sturge

December 25, 1952 – July 15, 2026

It is with heavy hearts that the family of Daphne Margaret Sturge announce her peaceful passing on July 15, 2026, at James Paton Memorial Hospital in Gander, at the age of 73. She was surrounded by the love of her family.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband, Donald; infant daughter, Wendy; son, Claude; her parents, Freeman and Rosie Locke; and her parents-in-law, William and Emma Sturge.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving son, Cory (Tracy); cherished grandson, Matthew; sisters, Linda (Ivan), Elaine (David), and Lori Ann (Barry); brothers and sisters-in-law, Sadie (Hedley), Leone (Gordon), Jack (Maisie), George (Juanita), Tony (Shirley), and Paula (Wayne); as well as many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.

Daphne shared a special bond with dear friends Judy Oram (Walter) and Alma Budgell (Dennis), whose friendship she valued deeply throughout the years.

Known for her warm heart, quiet strength, and unwavering love for her family, Daphne touched the lives of all who knew her.

Though her passing leaves a profound void, her love, laughter, and cherished memories will remain forever in the hearts of those fortunate enough to have known her.
