In Loving Memory of Richard Walter Thorne

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Richard Walter Thorne, of Glenwood, Newfoundland, at the age of 67.

Richard was predeceased by his parents, Eric and Violet Thorne, and by his sister, Phyllis Thorne.

He leaves to cherish his memory his daughter, Jillian Thorne; his daughter, Kelly Anne Roul; his stepdaughter, Jessica Pritchett; his sister, Iris Foote; his brothers, Sam Thorne and Bruce Thorne; Grand daughter's Lindsay Whiteway, Jessica's daughter and Kennedy Roul & Madalyn Roul, Kellyannes daughters, along with extended family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him.

Richard had a lifelong love of the outdoors. He found great joy in gardening, fishing, hunting, and spending time in nature. His garden was a true reflection of the care and pride he took in everything he did. He lovingly grew strawberries, raspberries, blueberries, grapes, green gage trees, and a wide variety of vegetables, and he enjoyed sharing the fruits of his hard work with others.

Richard also had a special place in his heart for his two beloved cats, whose companionship brought him comfort and happiness over the years.

Richard found peace in the quiet moments of life. Whether tending his garden, spending time in the woods, or casting a line in the water, he was happiest when surrounded by nature. Those who knew him will remember his appreciation for the simple things and the dedication he showed to the hobbies he loved.

He will be deeply missed ,may he rest in peace.
