It is with great sadness the family of Christine Louise Mills of Buchans  announce her peaceful passing at AM Guy Memorial Hospital at the age of 65 after a lengthy and courageous battle with cancer.

Christine was a devoted mother, grandmother, spouse, and cherished sister, aunt and friend. She leaves to cherish her memory her daughter Karyn (Rob), spouse Darrell, grandson Tyler, granddaughter Jessica, brothers Roy (Linda predeceased), Gary, sisters Shirley (George predeceased), and Gloria, along with many extended family and friends, especially her long time childhood friend Melva.

Predeceased by her father Ralph Mills, and mother Lillian Mills.

She was born and raised in Buchans, and lived there all her life. She was a homebody, content to spend her time at home and visiting her family. Family was of upmost importance to her. She enjoyed a good book, gameshows or a good show on TV, certainly any dessert she could get her hand on and loved pull tabs and a crossword. She didn't need much to make her happy and being with family was her happy place. She faced many health problems and struggles for a very long time and went through more than anyone should have to bear. But she showed courage and bravery throughout it all. She spent the last year and a half residing at the long term care facility AM Guy Memorial Health Centre in Buchans. There she watched over her roommates with a close eye and made sure to let the nurse know all the happenings.

The care and compassion shown to her and her family during her time there by all the staff was second to none. The family is profoundly grateful for all the care and love shown to her. She would always say I'm in good hands especially with Krista her NP.

Cremation has taken place. A funeral will take place at a later date.
