It is with great sadness that the family of the late Elsie Jean Hodder announce her passing at the James Paton Memorial Health Care Centre on Sunday March 26, 2017 at the age of 76 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories are her seven children: Terry Hodder (Karen of St. John’s, NL., Lydia Hodder (Tony Fleming) of Victoria, BC., Elvis Hodder of St. Johns, NL., Madonna Cuff (Curtis) of St. Johns, NL., Randy Hodder (Linda) of Georges Point, NL., Dwayne Hodder of St. Johns, NL., Tracy Lush (Ian) of Paradise, NL.; grandchildren: Kimberly, Terri-Lynne, Pamela, Terry, Tiffany, Heather, Michael, Christopher, Brittany, Jayden, Rachel, Chloe; great grandchildren: Nathan, Katelyn, Madison, Lincon, Autumn, Miya, Maxx, Gianna, Jacob, Caleb; brothers: Harold (June Blake), Calvin Blake (Barbara); sisters: Margaret Gillingham (Gordon), Lillian Harbin (Woodrow), Janet Bursey (Sandy), betty Alcock (Ralph), Gertie Eastman (Eugene), Bernice Bradbury (Dave); sister-in-law Joyce Blake and a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Lester Hodder; parents Douglas & Maryanne Blake; brother Harry Blake; sister Dorothy Hodder and great grandson Joshua Bursey. The family will be receiving friends from the Holy Trinity Anglican Church, Wings Point on Tuesday March 28, 2017 beginning at 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. The funeral service will take place on Wednesday March 29, 2017 at 2p.m. officiated by Reverend Gerald Giles with interment to follow at the St. David’s Anglican cemetery, Davidsville. As expressions of sympathy flowers are graciously accepted or donation may be made in Elsie’s memory to the Diabetes Association.
