Condolence From: Terry & Edna Thorne
Condolence: Edna and I would like to express our sincere condolences to the Dooley Family. I knew Phil most of my life and had many pleasant encounters with him over the years. His greeting to me was always, "Hello Terry Thorne." Quite some time ago we discovered that, but for a few months, we were the same age. After that, every year, Phil would acknowledge my birthday and I his.
Over the years, like many, I had different occasions to give various electronics to Phil. On one occasion, I dropped off a piece at his house. He invited me into the basement to see his workshop. There I saw some of the loving support his parents gave him. It seemed as though the entire basement was his. There were many benches and shelves with countless electronics, engines and bikes in various states of repair.
It warms my heart to see the outpouring of love for Phil. All of these stories give us great insight as to the depth of the richness of his life.
Rest in Peace Phillip.

Condolence From: Ray Lebeau
Condolence: To Mary, Gerald, Barry, Donald, Danny, Ron, Ruby, Family Members and Friends,
I first met 'Phil' Dooley when I was posted to the Old Navy Site in Gander, NL, in the mid 1960's. He was a teenager and what I remember most about 'Phil' was that everyone, and I mean EVERYONE, knew him. As a new resident, because I knew 'Phil', I had an immediate connection with everyone else in the Town of Gander. Thanks for that, Phil. I completed three postings to Gander, and on every one of them, Phil was always Phil. He always had that big smile, always wanted to chat, and always had a curiosity about everything. He asked me more than once what we were doing outside of town at the 'Turkey Farm'. Ha. I just finished reading the 18 pages of heart-felt condolence messages to Phil's family and friends. What a wonderful testament to the lives Phil touched and to just how much he was loved. The Town of Gander will miss 'Phil' Dooley and so will I. Please know that I will be keeping you in my thoughts and prayers during this difficult time.

Condolence From: Bob Granville
Condolence: My condolences to the Dooley family. I met Phil in the late sixties when I first came to Gander. I went uptown one day and when I came out of the store I saw a fellow washing my windshield. He looked at me and said, "that'll be twenty-five cents." I said, "but I never asked you to do that." He replied , "It don't matter, it's still twenty-five cents." I paid up and he took his bucket and squeegee and went on to the next car. He enriched our lives. We'll surely miss him.

Condolence: Mr & Mrs Dooley & Family.
If anyone knew Phil they would have a lifetime friend. Growing up in Gander we all knew Phil, and Danny and the Dooley family. Phil always stopped by our home to talk with anyone that was available. Even at a young age he always knew what was wrong with a bike instantly if it wasn't working right. Sometimes it's hard to understand why such a good person had to leave this world so young. His work on Earth was done and he was needed in Heaven for another wonderful journey. My sincere and heartfelt condolences to Phil's friends. To the people of Gander that were touched by just the presence of Phil and most of all to his Mom,his Dad and all of his family. God's speed on a Golden Wing Phil.xo
