Condolence From: Richard Healey
Condolence: Condolences to Jordan’s family. I started working under Jordan as a Survey Student in 1983 and full-time from 1984 til Jordan’s retirement. Jordan was easy to work with as he was level headed and had a good sense of humour. I enjoyed our chats about going in the woods, cutting firewood, lessons about building bobsleds, and even advice about building my house. One story I will always remember was when I told Jordan that I was putting wooden clapboard on my house with the rough side out. Jordan’s response, ‘Jesus, old man, that will be like painting a sheep’!
RIP Jordan

Sorry to hear about Jordan. I haven't seen you for many years but have often though of you and your family. Nana (Lucy Pritchett) always spoke of Gwynnie so fondly and all of her Goulding family.

Condolence: Jordan hired me in October 1984 as a survey helper. Jordan Sturge was in charge of survey crew and dredging operations for Public works, a guy whom I've never forgotten. I remember him well, he use to drive home to Gambo every Friday and back to work for Monday morning. Since his retirement I have only run into him a couple of times and he never changed in my eyes. I enjoy working with him and with his nonsence approach to life still stays in my memory. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
He was one of the great person! God Bless

Condolence From: Barry and Ann Bridger and family
Condolence: Dear Gwennie,
We were very sorry to hear about Jordan’s passing.
We will always think kindly of Jordan. All those years that you cared for Emily, she thought of him as kind of a grandfather. We will never forget his (and of course your) kindness to her.
Jordan will be remembered for his keen sense of humour. He had the ability to find something funny even in things that bothered him. He could truly make a dog laugh.
Regards,
Barry, Ann, Natalie, Daniel, Emily, Matt and John.

Condolence: In the summer of 1973 I got a summer job as a survey student with Public Works Canada. we did the soundings at Stephenville Harbour. Jordan Sturge was in charge of field operations, a guy whom I've never forgotten, his dry wit, work ethic and honest no nonsence approach to life still stays in my memory. We had a great summer. My thoughts and prayers are with his family at this difficult time.
He was one of the good guys! God Bless
