Condolence From: Robert Smith
Condolence: Hi,
I didn't know Eddie but enjoyed listening to Silent Witness as I was a first responder to the 1985 Gander crash. Many of the families of the 101st Airborne from the crash also enjoyed Eddie's song. RIP Eddie
Regards,
Bob.

Condolence: Madonna, Tina and Family.
Derm and I were so saddened to hear of Eddie's passing. He could certainly liven up an audience with his raspy voice. We enjoyed hearing and seeing him play. Hope the old rock and roll band is ready for him. Take care Madonna. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.

Condolence: Sorry to hear of Eddie's passing. We have some great memories from years ago on the Army Side and the early years in town. Eddie had a personality that enabled him to get along with everyone wherever he went and his stage presence was unsurpassed. Pleasant memories to the family -- he'll be certainly missed.

Condolence From: Gabe O'Rielly
Condolence: I am distraught at the news of Eddie's passing. To Madonna, Tina, Allan, and all the rest of his family, I extend my deepest sympathies.
I played drums in Eddie's bands "The Capri Combo" and "The Second Time Around" back in the 1960s and '70s, and I treasure the memories from those days. We played all over the island and had two trips to play week-long gigs in Labrador City, and though we had our share of mechanical problems with vehicles, and equipment problems with the gear, we also had memorable moments never to be forgotten.
I wasn't much of a drummer when I started playing in "The Capri Combo", but Eddie was very supportive and encouraging. His musicianship and his singing were exemplary, and I learned a lot from playing with him, Allan, Mike Yetman, and Ted Hefford.
I feel a great loss at his passing, and I can only imagine the loss his family must be feeling. You are in my thoughts.
