The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Ross Goldsworthy can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

The lighting of a Memorial Candle not only provides a gesture of sympathy and support to the immediate family during their time of need but also provides the gift of extending the Book of Memories for future generations.

Gerry Smith

Dear Shirley and all the Goldsworthy family, I am so sorry to hear of Ross’s passing. I first met Ross when he worked with Eastern Provincial Airways back in the early seventies, and later I worked with him in the nineties for a couple of years. The first time I heard him recite the “Rindercella and the Prandsome Hince” ( Cinderella) story was at a banquet and I darn near choked on some food or drink I was enjoying. Ross was an amazing, talented man and yet such a humble person it almost sounds contradictory. I had some quiet conversations with him and he never once had any serious criticism or animosity toward anyone or anything, he took every day in stride – he just saw the world through a different lens. I guess that was one of the reasons he was so likeable and loveable. Ross was one of those who could put a smile on your face with his humour , delivery and that unique voice of his,and make your whole day feel brighter. It was just a little over two weeks ago I was telling a friend about “Ross Goldsworthy” and I haven’t seen Ross in twenty years. That was the kind of impression Ross left on me. He is a “Newfoundland Treasure” I will always remember Ross. Again, my condolences.
