FARWELL
Ivy May (nee Coles)
July 14, 1930 - November 20, 2017
It is with great sadness that the family of the late Ivy May (Coles) Farwell of Gander announce her passing on November 20, 2017 at the age of 87 years. In the company of her children, Ivy slipped peacefully away to be with her husband, Melvin, who she simply could not live without. Ivy was a supremely caring, unselfish, and generous, community minded woman who was devoted to her family, judged no one, cared deeply for the disadvantaged and loved unconditionally.
She is pre-deceased by her husband Melvin, parents Matthew and Susannah (Mithcelmore) Coles of Savage Cove, NL and siblings Miriam, Sarah, Bessie, Eliza, Albert, Bertha, Dulcie, Harris, William, Ethel and Beulah.
Left with fond and loving memories are brother Baxter Coles of St. John's, daughter Bonnie Hayward (Gary) of Mount Pearl, son Percy (Andrea) of Gander, grandchildren Erica and Alexandra Hayward of Mount Pearl and Matthew and Julien Farwell of Gander, and a large circle of extended family and friends.
Family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Wednesday November 22, 2017 from 7-9 p.m. and on Thursday November 23, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service to take place at 2 p.m on Friday November 24, 2017 at St. Martins Anglican Cathedral, Gander. Funeral arrangements entrusted to Stacey's Funeral Home, Gander. Flowers are gratefully accepted, or donations in Ivy's memory may be made to the St. Martins Anglican Cathedral memorial Fund.
