Ambrose Left His Mark
Evelyn and I had the distinct privilege of knowing Ambrose as a true friend, an excellent parishioner and a real role model for anyone to follow. While we were saddened to hear of his passing, we are glad that his destiny was set in order by his confession of faith in Jesus Christ and now heaven is his home! The story title suggests that "Ambrose Left his Mark" - I reflect on the snowmobile ride that we had on the back of Norris Arm North (Ambrose was a "Stop and Go Kind of guy on that Polaris snowmobile") He was in the lead and flat out til he put on his brake - His sudden stop with me following (but looking elsewhere) didn't make for a great combination of circumstances - I hit my brake shortly after he did and the front of my Polaris 700 Liquid cooled stopped just under his hitch - Ambrose didn't even notice that I hit him - I have the mark on my fiberglass snowmobile cover, he had the steel hitch with no damage - But HE LEFT HIS MARK ON ME IN A FAR MORE MEANINGFUL WAY - HE WAS A TRUE FRIEND, SOMEONE WHO ALWAYS HAD YOUR BACK. His great sense of humor as well as his deep love for God reminded of my own dad who passed away in 2011. While his loss will be felt for a long time, his mark will remain forever in our hearts even after both snowmobiles hit the junk yard! Please be assured that our thoughts and prayers are with the family at this time! Sincerely from Nathaniel & Evelyn Osmond.
