Passed away peacefully at Agnes Pratt Nursing Home, St. John's on Monday, November 6th, 2017, Georgina Robertson Fry (Nee Easton at Brechin, Scotland), age 94.
Predeceased by her parents Smith and Isabella Easton and husband Jacob Fry.
Left to mourn with loving memories are her 4 sons: Cyril (Joyce) of Kingston, ON; Robert (Jessie) of Benton, Sid (Vera) of St. John's, Charles (Betty) of Calgary, AB; 6 adoring grandchildren: Kathy, Robyn, Jason, Stephanie, Jennifer and Allison, 9 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. Special thanks to the Agnes Pratt staff for their kindness and the wonderful care given to our mother over the past eighteen years. Mom came to Canada as a Scottish War bride in 1945. While she made Newfoundland her home since that time, she never forgot her roots. She was a wonderful, hand working mother with a marvelous sense of humour, right to the end. She taught us the importance of Faith, Family and Friends. She will be forever missed but never forgotten. A mother's love is a blessing. Family will be receiving friends at Stacey's Funeral Home, 60 Roe Avenue, Gander on Wednesday November 8, 2017 between the hours of 2-4 & 7-9 p.m. Funeral service will take place on Thursday November 9, 2017 from The Salvation Army Citadel, Gander at 11:00 a.m. officiated by Major Roy Perry with interment at All Saints Cemetery. As expressions of sympathy, no flowers by request, donations in Georgina's memory may be made to The Salvation Army Gander Citadel Band or The Heart & stroke Foundation.
